Prep for Packwood

Aside

ImageImage

Cut up my fender liners and used the pieces to cover up the cavity behind the fender. No more digging out clumps of leaves.

Also did an alignment on Alex’s car to prepare for Packwood this weekend.James got another Mr2. This one’s an AW11 with a diamond in the rough. A silver top 4age that’s built and boosted.

Notched my strut towers to get some more camber.

I’ve also been mounting tires like crazy and I’m almost ready for this two day event. 🙂

wheels

Aside

Installed my new wheel with the works bell adapter. Still waiting on an OMP extension to arrive. I might actually double up and order another 75mm t3 extension, cause I need the wheel way closer to me.ImageImageImage

Also did z32 rear brakes with Beau. He had to fab up some extensions for the 2+2 lines.

What’s going down.

Aside

A preview of some crazy things to come in my trunk.

Found this hat in some stuff I moved from my old place. Michi Takatori signed this for me at 08′ FormulaD.

Finally wired my horn and reverse lights.

Definitely doesn’t look pretty, but I pushed out the dent on my Silk Road elbow with an exhaust pipe expander.

Sr overhaul

Aside

ImageImageImageImageImage

Dealt with a shitty wiring problem that plagued me for months. I attached the alternator lamp wire to the very light gray with red not white with red when i did the swap… It worked for a while, but recently kept failing and took forever to figure out.

Image

It okay now, but the radiator neck is damaged and there’s still a noise coming from timing chain or power steering pump. I’ll try and get a video tomorrow. I’m looking into a new radiator at the moment before I can really have it running.

Sr pulled

Aside

Nick and I pulled the engine tonight. I changed the head gasket on the engine in the car only to have some funny shit happen while putting it back together. I found teeth from my crank sprocket in the oil pan, so it’s getting taken apart tomorrow. Time for sleep.
